Deep garnet red, brilliantly punctuated by violet sparks.
Nose
Already in the opening bouquet, the 2015 Mercurey "La Plante Chassey" reveals a hint of its freshness and exquisite dark berry aromas. The already appealing wine nevertheless guards a future full of development possibilities and a multi-faceted structure behind its fruit plenitude. With a little patience and airing, subtle nuances become apparent: the freshness of wet stone, the sharp influence of graphite, spicy notes such as pepper, a hint of wood smoke and the green hints of laurel, boxwood and blackcurrant. Its earthy character will be even more dominant as it matures.
Palate
You take your first sip of the 2015 Mercurey "La Plante Chassey" with eager anticipation. And it does not disappoint. On the contrary, it refreshes and seduces with the promised fruity bouquet and its light-footed, lively, powerful character. The balance between acidity and tannin is masterly and at the same time stimulating without end. A sublime food companion that steps graciously into the background to accentuate and harmoniously accompany your meal.
