Tasting note
Color:
Muted garnet red with clear violet reflections.
Nose:
The 2022 Bakkanali Rosso has an original aroma with emphasised and beguiling freshness. Flavours of cranberries are paired with wild raspberries, wild blueberries and clear floral notes of wild roses, violets and ivy. The whole is perfectly underpinned by rosemary, thyme and the wonderful impressions of tobacco and leather.
Palate:
On the palate, its minerality and freshness are once again beautifully present, the acidity and tannins appear very polished and are perfectly embedded in the red and blue fruit. A wine with depth and finesse that can be left to mature very well and harmonises wonderfully with cuisine that is characterised by the same originality as the wine itself.
Food pairing suggestions
- Strozzapreti with goat's cheese, broccoli and balsamic onions (Vegetable & Vegetarian)
- Pork chop with fresh figs, taleggio and white bean and thyme puree (meat)
- Osso bucco with baked vegetables and rosemary potatoes (meat)
