The Cornas appellation can look back on a long, very successful tradition. The wines were already very popular at the French royal court in the 10th century and Charlemagne was also a firm supporter. Du Coulet has various steeply terraced top sites in Cornas with granite and limestone soils. Extremely limited yields, in some cases less than 17 hectolitres per hectare, produce concentrated, complex wines rich in finesse. Natural clarification without filtration and fining and natural, indigenous yeasts produce fascinating, expressive wines full of terroir specificity that wine connoisseurs and lovers will appreciate!
