Info
The cuvée consists of Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Welschriesling. "To" is the Hungarian word for lake and thus pays homage to Lake Neusiedl, which has a decisive influence on the region.
Color
Brilliant golden yellow.
Nose
The 2021 TO has a very exotic aroma. Flavours of lime, papaya, sweet mango and gooseberry combine with notes of tonka bean and vanilla foam. The exoticism is complemented by a citrus freshness, while the toasted notes of the skilful wood barrel ageing offer an exciting interplay. An extremely multi-faceted fragrance that arouses curiosity at the first sip.
Palate
On the palate, it is creamy and at the same time very refreshing. Its tart, fruity and salty flavour whets the appetite and is reminiscent of exotic dishes from a cuisine characterised by countless spices. A great and extremely individual white wine from Velich!
