The Gramona flagship, or the gateway wine for those getting to know Gramona. Once you sit down in Catalonia's top gastronomy, it's almost impossible to pass by the Imperial. The wine deserves its name, it is the most classic the house has to offer and the master cuvée, so to speak, of 47.5% Xarel-lo, 30% Macabeu, 7.5% Chardonnay and 15% Parellada. The Chardonnay component gives the wine a complexity that does not overwhelm and can easily be used as a companion throughout the evening. 51 months of bottle ageing and dosage from the hundred-year-old solera make this wine a classic with the highest recognition value.
All Gramonas are whole cluster pressed. Only "Cabeza" and "Corazon", i.e. the free-run must and the first pressing, are used for this sparkling wine. The grapes come from 12 vineyards of the biodynamic agricultural collective "Alliances por la terra" founded by Gramona.
