Colour & appearance

A bright ruby-red Sangiovese with violet reflections that reflects the youth of the 2022 vintage. Clear and brilliant in the glass, with medium intensity and inviting transparency.

Nose

The bouquet unfolds with classic Tuscan flavoursFresh cherries and redcurrants in the foreground, underpinned by subtle herbal notes and a hint of Mediterranean scrub. Subtle spicy nuances of white pepper and a fine mineral note elegantly round off the flavour profile.

Palate

On the palate, the I Tre Borri shows itself to be harmonious and accessible Sangiovese with lively acidity and silky tannins. The 14% alcohol is perfectly integrated without dominating. Medium-bodied with a pleasant concentration of fruit and a medium-long, clean finish characterised by cherry notes and a subtle herbal spiciness.

This IGT Toscana epitomises the elegant handwriting by Corzano e Paternoa winery that has been run with exceptional dedication by the Gelpke-Goldschmidt family since the 1960s. The 18 hectares of vineyards in northern Tuscany produce wines that are characterised by their natural balance and finesse.

A versatile companion for Pasta with tomato sauce, grilled chicken or Pizza Margherita. Harmonises excellently with medium aged pecorino, Saltimbocca alla Romana and Risotto with mushrooms. Also ideal for Antipasti platters with Tuscan specialities.
