Celler Gramona is one of the leading sparkling wine producers in Spain. The winery from Sant Sadurni d'Anoia in the heart of the Penedès is a founding member of the renowned Corpinnat association, which split off from the DO Cava in 2019. Gramona Rosé, which comes from biodynamic cultivation, is made from 100 per cent Pinot Noir. Pinot Noir from a warm Mediterranean region may seem a little strange. In fact, the variety has a tradition in the Penedès dating back to the 19th century. The Pinot also thrives quite well in the region's higher and cooler locations. This Demeter-certified sparkling wine is classified as Brut and has a dosage of six grams per litre. The base wine is produced using the saignée method. After the second fermentation in the bottle, the sparkling wine matures on the lees for a further 18 months.

Nose
The bouquet is dominated by fresh strawberries, but also floral and citrus notes. Overall, the nose is very fresh, lively and beautifully balanced.
Palate
The red-fruity impression continues on the palate. The strawberry dominates, but violets and lemon biscuit also ensure that the whole thing does not become monotonous. This rosé also has a lively acidity, it is crispy and creamy in the mouth. The dosage is evident in the soft, juicy finish. There is only a very slight bitterness on the finish, which is not unpleasant but adds to the complexity. In general, this creates a flawlessly harmonious overall picture - a great balance of acidity, structure and fruit. This rosé has a kind of freshness, delicate fruit and suppleness that should appeal to a wide audience.
