Tasting note
Color:
Classic salmon colour with delicate orange reflections.
Nose:
The nose of the 2023 Faustine Rosé Vielles Vignes from Abbatucci oscillates between rich, ripe fruit such as red-cheeked, sliced apple and vineyard peach as well as tart notes of red fruit tea and rosehip. Ethereal notes of French tarragon, chervil and wild thyme hover above. This evokes clear Mediterranean associations in a joyful way.
Mouth:
Super juicy on the palate with a fruity, tart flavour. Only the skins of the fruit are noticeable, which gives it a pleasant phenolic contour without losing its joyful fruitiness. Tart and creamy on the palate, it is expansive with a delicate extract sweetness, generous character and a spicy counterpart of mace, liquorice and fresh laurel.
Food pairing suggestions
- Tomato and peach salad with basil and goat's cheese (Vegetable & Vegetarian)
- Oven-baked rascasse with a lukewarm salad of braised fennel and nectarine (fish)
- Oven-baked chicken with pineapple and chipotle(poultry)
