Carignan planted in 1903, this is the wine on whose roots the origins of Roc des Anges go back.
Muted black-red , colour-dense to the rim.
The 2019 1903 Carignan de Schistes presents itself as a dark-fruited, tart and at the same time multi-faceted elegant wine. Sloe, blackcurrant, mulberry and an intense herbal note of rosemary and thyme dance the round dance, an original, honest drop full of juiciness.
Earthy, juicy, with a dark fruitiness, it glides over the palate, fine fruit sweetness meets immense herbal richness, a polished tannin structure and stimulating acidity. A red wine of the south, at its best slightly chilled at sunset, you immediately get the impression of walking between pine and olive trees.
