Info about the wine
The Riesling grapes are grown on loamy-loamy and Danube-gravelly terrain.
Info about the expansion
The wine is fermented without the addition of sugar, enzymes, flavour enhancers or pure yeast using only the grapes' own natural yeast and, after six months of ageing in large, old wooden barrels, is bottled on a fruit day.
Color
Light golden yellow with clear green reflections.
Nose
The 2022 Riesling Federspiel exudes an intense aroma reminiscent of citrus, green apple, apricot, lemon balm, sage, cool rocky notes, delicate smoky hints and a touch of aniseed. Compact, animating, youthful and still a little closed, it demands a carafe and large glasses.
Palate
On the palate, we encounter a wine that manages to perfectly balance juiciness, fruit sweetness and stimulating acidity. It is a pleasure to drink and flirts with its juiciness as well as with a fine tannic note that gives it a stimulating savoury touch. The low alcohol content of 11.5Vol% contributes to the palate's desire for more and for the accompaniment of a cuisine that is as aromatic and original as the wine itself. Very good development potential.
