The Campo Rotaliano is a delimited geographical area and lies like an indentation of the Adige Valley squeezed between the mountains. Its formation is inextricably linked to the Noce River, which has been carrying limestone, granite and porphyry debris for centuries. Within the Campo Rotaliano, different microzones can be distinguished according to their soil characteristics, which have been named differently by the winegrowers.

The Vigneto Morei is 2.5 hectares in size, 100% planted with Teroldego Rotaliano and situated on the pebbly and sandy alluvial soils of the Noce River. The name Morei comes from the Trentino dialect and means "moro" or "dark" and refers to the deep colour nuance of this wine. The grapes for this were fermented in amphorae and clarified over the eight months of ageing on the skins. Production averages 12,000 bottles.

Purple red with black core and violet reflections.

Nose

Mauves and mulberries, violets and blueberries as well as a bar of dark bitter chocolate outline the nose of the 2020 Morei by Elisabetta Foradori. Dark-fruited and powerful, the Morei is always the more powerful type of the two single-vineyard Teroldegos and presents itself accordingly expansive on the nose with the typical floral top notes.

Mouth

With generous fruit and an open-hearted nature, it presents itself juicy and decidedly accessible on the nose, even if it would benefit from a few years of bottle ageing. The dark fruit is framed by grippy tannins that are tightly woven and dense on the palate like the finest sandpaper. The ripe acidity gives it its rapid drinking speed, notes of bitter chocolate adorn the fruity long finish.
