Tasting note
Color:
Light golden yellow with clear green reflections.
Nose:
On the nose, the 2023 Grüner Veltliner conveys great freshness and juiciness, reminiscent of apple, cider, pear and quince. Fine floral notes of lime, yarrow and camomile, underpinned by a delicate yeast note, round off the overall picture beautifully. The nose already reveals that this is a fresh and animating companion.
Palate:
The flavour is no less refreshing - we encounter plenty of bright and yellow fruit, which is combined with a stimulating piquancy in the finish. The moderate alcohol content of 11 vol% further enhances its drinkability. A wine for uncomplicated enjoyment, even with food.
Food pairing suggestions
- Carpaccio of kohlrabi and pear with dandelion (vegan)
- Halibut with cress and pearl barley risotto
- Pork medallions with lukewarm bean salad, mint, parsley and apple
