Colour & Appearance

Silvery gleaming straw yellow with delicate greenish reflections – this elegant Cava presents itself with distinction. The fine, high-strung perlage builds briefly yet precisely – a visual foretaste of this house’s artisanal precision.

Nose

Here reveals itself pure terroir. Maritime aromas dominate with oyster shell, sea spray and nori seaweed – typical of the Catalan coastal vineyard sites. Herbal aromas of sage, mint and thyme merge with exotic notes of lemongrass and ginger. The fruit initially shows restraint: white peach, crisp yellow apples and bergamot zest. A bitter, pithy character of almond and subtle yeast note rounds off the complex bouquet.

Palate

On the palate, surprising intensity unfolds. The creamy mousseux provides impressive smoothness, whilst the fruit shows noticeably riper: baked apple, candied pear and quince compote. The lively carbonation elegantly pierces the mousseux and lends the wine its characteristic slenderness and breeding. Delicate astringency invites further sipping – a classic sparkling wine of high elegance without unnecessary complexity.

General Information

This cuvée from 55% Xarel-lo, 30% Macabeo, 10% Parellada and 5% Chardonnay benefited from the excellent vintage 2021. Hand-harvested grapes, separate vinification of the varieties and a minimum of 18 months on the lees create the foundation for this authentic Cava. The dosage according to family recipe completes the work. Disgorged in November 2023.

Perfect as an aperitif or with seafood, oysters, sushi and light starters. The maritime character harmonises beautifully with grilled fish or tapas.
