Details of the region
Ferus is a cuvée with the finest provenance. The grapes are harvested from the first-class sites Reiterpfad, Mäushöhle, Herrgottsacker and a vintage parcel from 1982 in the Ruppertsberger Nussbien.
Its exterior is characterised by a shimmering lemon yellow, accented with clear green reflections.
The 2021 vintage of the Ferus series comes up trumps with powerful, smoky minerality and is enveloped by a refreshing aroma of green apple, lime and citrus. This is joined by palpable herbal notes of basil, lemon balm and ginger, which add to the refreshing profile. Its youthful wildness in aromatics comes to the fore especially after skilful decanting into the carafe.
On the palate, this wine unfolds a cool and precise note, the acidity is present and enlivens the senses. This is a wine that plays with its connoisseurs and blends seamlessly with fresh and invigorating cuisine. These wines are the perfect choice in the summer months, but they can also bring back that summer feeling in autumn and winter. Excellent value for money!
