An exceptionally complex aroma unfolds in the glass. Initially dominated by lively citrus notes of ripe orange and Limewhose zests lend a fresh brilliance. With increasing aeration, the wine develops a fascinating depth: Cinnamon and Dried biscuits merge with mineral Flintstone-notes, while Almond cream and Salt butter contribute a creamy opulence. This olfactory symphony is a testament to master craftsmanship.

Palate

The true class of this Chardonnay is revealed on the palate. The juicy fruit fullness is accompanied by a crisp, fresh acidity which is perfectly integrated and gives the wine its vibrant liveliness. A creamy enamel rounds off the texture, while the brilliant fullness impresses with Burgundian finesse. General information

This Austrian Chardonnay comes from the Burgenland/Lake Neusiedl and is vinified from 20-40 year old vines. The maturation takes place in Oak barrelswhich gives the wine its characteristic complexity. With 14% alcohol, it shows perfect balance. The name "Darscho" refers to one of the small vineyards in Seewinkel, which characterise the unique microclimate of this region.

This multi-layered Chardonnay harmonises perfectly with Ravioli with ricotta filling, sage and dark tomatoes, Grilled lobster in the carcass with crustacean sauce with ginger and wild rice and Poulard with roasted almonds, celeriac puree and Brussels sprouts.
