Wine Description for Cuvée Fleur 2024 by M. Schädler – Steffen Mugler

Colour & Appearance
Pale, luminous yellow with silvery reflections and delicate green notes – a wine that already promises freshness and vibrancy in the glass.
Nose
Seductively fragrant and floral – the cuvée of Scheurebe and Cabernet Blanc unfolds a lively aromatic world of passion fruit, blackcurrant and nettle. Wild mint and a hint of lemon pepper lend the nose a piquant, spicy depth. Invigorating and immediately inviting.
Palate
On the palate, the exotic fruit fullness reveals itself in perfect balance with fine spice and refreshing lightness. The acidity is present, but by no means dominant – it carries the wine without overwhelming it. With merely 12.0% alcohol, Cuvée Fleur remains pleasantly lean and highly drinkable.
Finish
Medium length, with a fresh, spicy aftertaste of citrus and herbs. The wine bids farewell cleanly and invites you to take another sip.
Terroir & Origin
The grapes come from the Maikammer terroir in southern Palatinate – one of Germany’s sunniest wine-growing regions. Since taking over the traditional Schädler estate in 2002, Steffen and Daniela Mugler have managed their vineyards according to biodynamic principles. The soils are at the heart of their philosophy: healthy, living earth as the foundation of great wines.
Grape Variety & Vinification
A successful cuvée of Scheurebe and Cabernet Blanc – two grape varieties that complement each other ideally in their aromatic expressiveness. From hand-harvesting to maturation, every step is carried out with meticulous care. The biodynamic philosophy of the estate is reflected in the purity and naturalness of the wine.
Food Pairing Recommendations
An uncomplicated companion for warm days: ideal with tapas and snacks, Asian summer rolls, grilled vegetables or a fresh goat’s cheese salad. Equally convincing as an aperitif – best enjoyed in good company and generous quantities.
Special Characteristics
A wine with clear conviction: biodynamically produced, crafted with artisanal care and blessed with a lightness that is rarely found. Cuvée Fleur is not a wine for lengthy contemplation – it is a wine for carefree enjoyment.
