Color
Ruby red with violet reflections and watery rim.
Nose
The nose of the 2012 Billes Noir Cornas of the Domaine du Coulet flaunts rich fruit and fine spice on the nose. The top notes of red currants and ripe cherries are complemented by floral notes of violets. The heart notes form spices such as cloves, black cardamom and tobacco, all held together by fine wood spice.
Mouth
On the nose, the wine shines with its dark, preserved ripe fruit. Taut with a firm structure and delicate extract sweetness, it reminds aromatically of salt crisp and Culatello, all underpinned by a dense, smoky minerality and notes of tobacco and cherry pulp in the long, firm finish.

- Roast pike-perch with melted onions and Jerusalem artichoke gratin
