Dark black red, delicate violet reflections
Nose
In it, it shows the great strengths of Priorat. Dark fruit, dense and tightly structured, which always seems to be surrounded by a cool mantle. In addition to these dark, mysterious notes, Laurel 2019 also reveals plenty of Mediterranean accents. Black olives, pine, rosemary and thyme are found in abundance. Elderberry, cassis and sour cherries are hardly inferior. Some raspberry and blackberry follow. Above all, juniper, but also black pepper and cinnamon rub increasingly make themselves felt in the glass.
Palate
On the palate, it follows on almost seamlessly from the impressions gained. Despite all the fruit concentration, density and intensity, it never seems ponderous. This is one of the great strengths of this region in general, and of Daphne and Ester in particular. The fruit shows itself ripe and full of juice. The two grape varieties complement each other perfectly in terms of fleshiness and acidity. Only a very delicate tannin lines the palate. It lives much more on freshness, minerality and drinking flow. The aromas of the nose appear here in a similar form. The Mediterranean nuances, which linger on the palate for a long time, should be emphasised.
