Champagne
Over 200 grower Champagnes from 25 independent producers who cultivate, vinify and bottle their own grapes – so-called Récoltant-Manipulants. Most work biodynamically or organically. From the pure Belemnitella chalk of the Côte des Blancs via the Kimmeridgian soils of the Côte des Bar to the Meunier sites along the Marne, our range reflects the geological diversity of Champagne. What unites all the growers: the renunciation of dosage sugar and the belief that Champagne should taste of its place of origin – not of a brand. More about our grower Champagnes

More about Champagne
Uniqueness and Craftsmanship
Grower Champagne, or "Récoltant-Manipulant" (RM), as it is known in France, embodies the essence of Champagne in its purest form. These Champagnes are made exclusively from grapes grown and processed by the grower themselves. It is this complete control over the entire production process, from vineyard to bottle, that makes grower Champagne so unique.
A new generation of "vignerons" in Champagne is reviving old techniques and bringing fresh momentum to Champagne production. They are the harbingers of a flavour revolution that is shaking up a Champagne that has sometimes been homogenised through commercial blending. Each grower Champagne is a one-of-a-kind creation that expresses the personality of the terroir and the grower.
The uniqueness of these Champagnes lies not only in their production but also in their limited output. Whilst large Champagne houses produce millions of bottles per year, a grower's annual production is legally capped at 300,000 bottles, with most producing considerably less. This exclusivity makes grower Champagne highly sought-after by connoisseurs and enthusiasts.
Another aspect that distinguishes grower Champagne is its outstanding value for money. Because growers process their own grapes and engage in less marketing, they can offer high-quality Champagne at competitive prices. This has led to a clear trend in Germany in recent years towards greater quality and more premium Champagne.
Particularly noteworthy are biodynamic and natural grower Champagnes. These wines embody not only the highest quality but also a deep understanding of ecological relationships. Pioneers such as the Fleury family of growers demonstrate that biodynamic Champagne can be true culinary masterpieces.
The diversity of grower Champagnes is impressive. From opulent to fruity to delicate or saline – the flavour palette is enormous. Each grower brings their own philosophy and style to the bottle. For example, Nicolas Maillart creates intense and expressive cuvées with a characteristic touch of finesse that showcase the potential of Premier and Grand Cru terroirs.
An Experience for Connoisseurs
For the Champagne enthusiast, grower Champagne offers the opportunity to experience the diversity and uniqueness of Champagne in its purest form. It is as if one were "drinking the stars", as the legendary Dom Pérignon allegedly once described it. Each bottle tells the story of a terroir, a vintage and a passionate grower.
In an age where authenticity and craftsmanship are increasingly valued, grower Champagnes represent the avant-garde of Champagne. They are more than just sparkling wine – they are a philosophy in a bottle that captures and preserves the soul of Champagne.
