Wine information

Terroir Sense Fronteres is the new project of Terroir al Límit, Dominik Huber's winery in Priorat. Unlike Dominik Huber's previous wines, however, these do not come from Priorat, but from neighbouring Monsant. In fact, the Montsant vineyard Montals is only a stone's throw away from Huber's Priorat vineyard Les Manyes.

The Garnacha Blanca and Macabeo grapes, which are used for the Brisat are from vineyards in Capçanes. The grapes were harvested early and fermented spontaneously in stainless steel with light maceration.

Color

Light golden yellow with copper reflections and slight cloudiness

Nose

The Brisat has a wild but very attractive nose. It hints at spontaneous fermentation and mash fermentation notes and is reminiscent of tart apple peel, white flowers and herbal brew, a little of ginger ale and aroma hops.

Palate

On the palate, the cuvée of Garnacha blanca and Macabeo is a paragon of tart freshness and coolness, accompanied by a creamy mouthfeel with a light tannin mixed in. Huber's white wines are absolutely textured wines in which fruit hardly plays a role. This is also the case with the Brisatwhere a tart apple and a little citrus drop in, but otherwise dry earth, salt and herbs play first fiddle. Here, one is completely absorbed by the almost sparkling minerality, the ripe acidity structure, the phenolic notes and the fine salt, which, like a breeze from the nearby Mediterranean, provides refreshment and great drinking flow.
