Wine description for the Beaujolais, Brouilly Zen AOC 2022 from Bret Brothers
Colour & appearance
Bright cherry red colour with violet reflections, typical of a young Gamay from Brouilly. Medium intensity, clear and brilliant in the glass.
Nose
A seductive bouquet of red fruits dominates the flavour spectrum: fresh cherries, Raspberries and a hint of Strawberries. Subtle floral notes of violets complement subtle spicy nuances and a hint of granite minerality, which is due to the Brouilly terroir.
Palate
This Gamay is juicy and accessible on the palate. The lively acidity elegantly carries the red fruit, while silky tannins provide a pleasant structure. Medium-bodied with a nice balance between freshness and concentration. The finish is medium to long with lingering cherry flavours and a mineral finish.
