Wine information
The wine comes from vines in the Climat Petit Vercotes directly on the D 974. The cultivated 1.47 hectares are characterised by red clay with a lot of limestone. After destemming, cool pre-fermentation and spontaneous fermentation, the wine is aged slowly on the fine lees for 18 months in 228-litre barriques with a new wood content of 50 to 75 %.
Color
slightly transparent, bright ruby red
Nose
Of all the wines of the winery, the Aloxe Corton perhaps the most reductive. Here, lots of cassis and strawberry meet gunpowder. There is also mocha and violets. With air, the reductive slowly recedes into the background and the wine becomes more and more charming.
Palate
On the palate, too, the mocha note can be perceived between the cassis. The Pinot seems a little more floral here than in the aroma, with a little rose and violet. The Aloxe Corton has a wonderful expansiveness, seems almost musical, but always remains precise with a wonderful acid structure and with tannins that still seem firm but are already beginning to round out.
