Color
Sparkling cherry red with bright, violet reflections
Nose
4 Gotes is initially quite reductive and compact on the nose. Plenty of sour cherry, cassis, elderberry and strawberry make themselves felt in the glass. Fig and date come to the rescue. Liquorice, fennel and artichoke provide the ethereal and vegetal part. Juniper and thyme are in the same vein. Violets and hibiscus provide the darkest fruit with a lot of depth. Fermentation with rape brings a discreetly unripe note, clearly reminiscent of red and green peppers. Smoked paprika powder again moderates this.
Palate
On the palate, it reveals its good balance and velvety appearance. The acidity is delicate. The tannin is well integrated and just melts away. Tart accents and plenty of herbal spice make it very exciting on the palate. The fruit seems compact and dense without conveying heaviness. Good accessibility and lots of juiciness. It has a bloody character and is already quite sexy at this young stage. Open, easy to understand and needs little explanation.
