Nose
Salicutti's Rosso di Montalcino appears youthful in the fragrance and at the same time quite compact. In addition to ripe red fruit, especially the sour cherry, the Rosso from the earthy side. Shrubbery can be guessed here, undergrowth, warm and dark earth, also a hint of dry herbs and spices.
Palate
On the palate, the wine shows a lot of power and an impressive polish. It is very straightforward and clear in its earthy spicy impression. Here, too, the fruit plays rather a supporting role, although it provides juiciness. Again earth and undergrowth determine the aromatic composition. At the same time, a fine and clear acidity breaks through and draws its circles in a steady flow. This is as always - one has to say - a wonderful Rosso between down-to-earthness and elegance.
