Color

Bright straw yellow with brilliant reflections.

Nose

Apricots and pineapple are the key aromas that immediately flow from the glass in this Riesling. Yellow and red stone fruit, ripe plump pears and rubinette, yellow stone fruit as well as fresh citrus notes follow. Slightly spicy components like ginger and honey follow. A classic Alsace Riesling nose. White wine also enjoys aeration, provided it has the necessary complexity like the 2013 Schlossberg Riesling.

Mouth

In the mouth, the wine is juicy with good pressure. The fruit aromas are not yet one hundred percent present directly after opening, but gradually show themselves with more oxygen. A slightly salty minerality provides the backbone of the wine. The mouthfeel is grippy with good structure and a slightly viscous creaminess. The acidity is long from the attack to the mineral finish. When young, the wine should be aerated. Great storage potential.
