Info about the wine
The grapes come mainly from the Karthäuserhofberg, but deliberately also from Mertesdorf and Waldrach, in order to bring together the complete spectrum of the different terroirs of the Karthäuserhof in the single estate wine.
Info about the expansion
The grapes are harvested by hand, gently pressed and two thirds fermented under controlled conditions in stainless steel and one third in barrels. The wine then matures on the lees for around six months.
Colour Bright, radiant golden yellow.
Nose
A fragrance beautifully characterised by cool slate, which reveals notes of peach, apple, apple peel, redcurrant and grapefruit with sufficient oxygen. A purist seducer announces itself.
Palate
Animating spiciness characterises its palate, accompanied by invigorating acidity and mouth-filling juiciness. A Riesling that is at peace with itself and has a delicate alcohol content of just 11.5 vol%, making it the perfect aperitif and accompaniment to savoury, earthy cuisine.
