Color
In bright sunflower yellow the wine shows itself clear and with golden shine.
Nose
Who likes it stony, has his joy here and enjoys this ascent...
Lime zest and grapefruit zest ethereally tease the freshness of a green Granny Smith apple. A faint hint of passion fruit and pineapple trunk contribute subtle exoticism while herbal mint and lemon balm, as well as lemongrass and lime blossom, run riot. Nevertheless, the fruit of this Riesling is subtle and strengthened by white pepper and the coolness of wet stone.
Palate
Vibrant in itself, the 2014 Marienburg Riesling Felsterrasse from Clemens Busch creates tension on the palate. Its delicate, yet firm green-yellowish fruit shows its cheeky citrusy side, is facetted by delicate residual sweetness, while the wine's straightforward acidity keeps it meticulously compact. Living up to its name and mouthwatering, the finish of this Riesling is rocky, stony and long.
