Info about the wine
The VDP.GUTSWEINE are a meticulous selection of grapes grown in the vineyards along the Rhine. Five different wine villages, five different soil types have given rise to the Latin term QVINTERRA.® inspiriert. Die Gutsweine werden von Hand geerntet, streng selektiert, spontan vergoren, in großen alten Doppelstückfässern und Edelstahltanks ausgebaut und schließlich bis weit ins Frühjahr hinein “sur lie” gelassen.
Colour
Brilliant golden yellow with clear green reflections.
Nose
What an aroma flows towards us - matchstick, nettle, wild mint and blackcurrant, papaya and grapefruit. With oxygen gooseberry joins in, green pepper and wild mint. A fresh, green and incredibly animating fragrance.
Palate
Salty, precise and striking, the 2020 Qvinterra Scheurebe moves across the tongue, fine lime notes combine with a salty impression and stimulating acidity. A perfect aperitif and companion to a cuisine dominated by freshness and herbs.
