Tasting note
Color:
Straw yellow, radiant and clear.
Nose:
On the nose, the 2023 Riesling from Fred Loimer is clearly characterised by its origins: fully ripe yellow pome and stone fruit fill its basket, with some lemon zest and aniseed in the top note making it shimmer on the nose. A firm and varietal Riesling with delicate mineral notes.
Mouth:
Juicy and tasty in the best sense of the word, it fills our goblet from Monday to Friday, from midday to evening. With fine fruit and tart charm, it combines peach and red apple skin with a lively character and fresh acidity on the palate. Flanked by phenolics, it flows down the throat without any notable resistance to swallowing. A well-rounded wine.
Food pairing suggestions
- Cheese bread with apple and early leek (Vegetable & Vegetarian)
- Char in elderberry stock (fish)
- Crispy piglet cutlets with fennel (meat)
