Wine Description for La Rose de Manincor IGT 2024 from Manincor

Colour & Appearance
Pale old rose, radiantly clear and brilliant in the glass – a visual promise of elegance and finesse.
Nose
Sparkling clarity defines this rosé: sugared rhubarb, raspberries and white currants dominate, accompanied by unripe strawberries. On the top notes, apple blossoms, mallow and rose hips unfold – fresh as the first rays of spring sunshine through freshly cleaned windows.
Palate
Extract-rich and juicy, La Rosé presents itself with impressive drive. Blueberries, raspberries, cranberries and mulberries are disciplined by fine-grained phenolics. Elegantly medium-bodied, powerful without heaviness, with a creamy texture and generous ripeness.
Finish
Long, precise and persistent – the berry fruit resonates elegantly, carried by the fine structure.
Terroir & Origin
The vines thrive at Seehof, Panholzerhof and in Mazzon between 250 and 500 metres altitude on robust clay soils, limestone gravel and glacial rock deposits – South Tyrolean terroir in all its diversity.
Grape Variety & Vinification
A saignée from the finest Cabernet Franc and Merlot parcels, harvested from mid-September to the end of October. After 6 to 12 hours of skin contact, spontaneous fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in wooden casks, where the wine subsequently matured for five months – a vinification that creates complexity and depth.
Food Pairing Suggestions
Perfect with grilled tuna, salmon tartare, vitello tonnato or saltimbocca alla romana. Also an excellent choice with goat’s cheese, summer salads with strawberries and Mediterranean antipasti.
Special Features
This rosé is not a side project but an independent statement: the annually changing composition of parcels makes each vintage unique. At 13% alcohol and with spontaneous fermentation, Manincor demonstrates that South Tyrolean rosé can be far more than light summer entertainment.
