Colour & Appearance

Deep, impenetrable purple-red with violet reflections, indicating the youthfulness of this powerful Bordeaux blend. Particularly brilliant and concentrated in magnum format.

Nose

Captivating complex bouquet with dark forest berries, cassis and blackberry. Beneath lies spicy notes of cedarwood, graphite and tobacco, accompanied by a hint of violet and liquorice. The Petit Verdot lends floral accents, whilst the Cabernets bring structure and depth.

Palate

Monumental structure with impressive concentration. Blackcurrant, plum and dark chocolate dominate, underpinned by fine-grained, ripe tannins that promise grip and length. The 14.5% alcohol is perfectly integrated, the extreme climate of Extremadura bestows this wine with an almost Mediterranean opulence whilst maintaining freshness. Mineral depth from vines rooted up to ten metres deep.

Finish

Extraordinarily long and precise. Spicy oak notes, espresso and cloves linger for minutes. The tannins remain present yet silky – a wine with many years ahead of it.

Terroir & Origin

Extremadura, one of the world’s oldest wine-growing regions, offers barren soils and extreme continental climate. Prolonged drought periods force the vines to root up to ten metres deep, absorbing mineral complexity in the process. An underestimated terroir with Roman winemaking tradition.
