Colour & Appearance

Pale lemon yellow in the glass, with a lively, delicate perlage that immediately whets the appetite. The carbonation rises elegantly – a visual promise of freshness.

Nose

Enchantingly airy and irresistibly inviting. The Muskateller sets the tone with fresh lemon, quince and young yellow apple. These are joined by meadow herbs and lemongrass, underpinned by a hint of fresh grapes. Pure, unadulterated freshness without any heaviness.

Palate

Here lies the true strength of this perlwein: at just 10.5% alcohol, it delivers a refreshment that is second to none. The carbonation fizzes on the palate, prickling and invigorating, without being intrusive. Crisp and dry, with a racy acidity that harmonises perfectly with the subtle fruit. Meinklang demonstrates here that biodynamic viticulture and uncomplicated drinking pleasure are not opposites.

Food Pairing Suggestions

Perfect as an aperitif on hot summer days. Excellent with light salads, grilled fish, seafood or fresh oysters. Also an excellent choice with sushi or Asian summer rolls. Best served well chilled at 6-8°C.
