Luminous straw yellow in the glass, clear and brilliant – a visual promise of concentration and freshness.

Nose

The bouquet impresses with stony minerality and damp earth, creating a cool, almost Nordic character. Remarkable is the density and concentration that comes with fabulous freshness. The barrique is so skilfully integrated that it does not mask the original aromatics but subtly complements them – a textbook example of successful oak usage.

Palate

On the palate, a silky-creamy texture unfolds with spicy notes and a light, piquant edge. This wine defines itself not through upfront fruitiness, but through structure and mouthfeel: full-bodied and concentrated, yet linear and elegant, never broad or heavy. The fine acidity and perceptible grip lend it tension and drinkability in equal measure.

Finish

Long, balanced and finely spiced with lingering juiciness – a finale that makes you want another sip.

Terroir & Origin

The grapes come from Rioja Alavesa, where vines averaging 60 years old thrive in traditional field blends. These old stocks provide the concentration and complexity that distinguish this wine.

Grape Variety & Vinification

A cuvée of 71% Viura (Macabeu) plus Malvasía, Garnacha Blanca and Calagraño – autochthonous varieties that reveal the true face of white Rioja. Only the free-run must was used, with ageing for 10 months in first and second-fill barriques. Bottled in September 2023.
