No heir emerged from the Pira family tree at the beginning of the 1980s. The continuation of the winegrowing history could be ensured by the Boschis family. The Boschis have been deeply rooted in the glorious Barolo wine-growing region since the middle of the 18th century. Chiara and Giorgio Boschis are now the ninth generation of the Boschis family to be in charge of the winery. One of their self-imposed goals is to give the vines the greatest possible attention. In order to preserve and protect the environment and nature in the best possible way, the Boschis follow the guidelines of organic viticulture. The work in the cellar almost becomes a secondary matter here, because they are fully convinced to let nature take its course here and exert an influence on the growing wine as seldom as possible.
