Colour & Appearance

Luminous ruby red with violet reflections that underscore the youthfulness of the 2020 vintage. In magnum format, the wine displays particular brilliance and depth in the glass.

Nose

Expressive and precise: ripe cherries and blackberries meet Mediterranean herbs and a hint of lavender. Beneath these, fine notes of graphite and cedarwood, testament to moderate oak ageing. The biodynamic viticulture is reflected in the clarity and freshness of the fruit.

Palate

Juicy and concentrated with the elegance typical of Artadi. The Tempranillo grape shows itself at its best: dark cherries, cassis and a spicy component of black pepper and cloves. The tannins are ripe and silky, the acidity vibrant and perfectly integrated. Despite 14.5% alcohol, the wine never feels heavy, instead displaying remarkable balance.

Finish

Long and fruity with lingering notes of red berries and a subtle mineral component that invites the next sip.

Viñas de Gain comes from organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards in Rioja. Artadi has deliberately distanced itself from the Rioja association to consistently implement its own philosophy – yet the origin remains unmistakable.

Grape Variety & Vinification

100% Tempranillo from selected parcels, aged in a modern style with controlled oak use. The biodynamic approach in the vineyard enables an authentic expression of the grape variety.

Excellent with grilled Ibérico pork, lamb chops with rosemary, beef steak or aged Manchego. Also an excellent choice with mushroom dishes and braised meat.
