Wine information
This is a Pinot Grigio Ramatoa wine that has been left to macerate for a longer period of time, giving it a rusty red colour. This Pinot grigio comes from the Bicinins and Pozzut vineyards. Bicinins has a loamy soil with skeleton-rich limestone and a high proportion of organic matter. The vines, which cover an area of 3.3 hectares, have an average age of 17 years. In Pozzut, the clay in the younger part of the vineyard is even more pronounced. It lies on alluvial soils of calcareous-dolomitic origin. The vines in the youngest part, with an average age of 20 years, cover a total of 1.5 hectares. After destemming, the grapes were transferred to stainless steel tanks where maceration took place, which lasted until the traditional cap rose, i.e. just over a day. After pressing, alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature in steel vats with the help of yeasts, the preparation of which took place before the actual harvest as Pied de Cuve obtained in the vineyard. The maturation of the Pipinot partly in stainless steel tanks and one fifth in tonneaux for nine months on the fine lees.
Colour
bright apricot
Nose
The 2022he Pipinot smells of ripe apricots and peaches, oranges with zest, red apple with peel, as well as nuts and a little rosehip.
Palate
On the palate the Pinot Grigio Ramato initially crisp with its lively acidity. The texture is then characterised by a longer yeast ageing period and is therefore silky. At the same time, the longer ageing time ensures a light, pleasant level of tannin. The slightly tart fruit is combined with notes of peel, nuts and zest.
