Out of stock

Strong aromas of plum jam, sloe and black cherry wallow in a fondant of dark chocolate with nougat and roasted spiced almonds. On the palate, the 2012 Salzberg from Heike and Gernot Heinrich is just about ready to drink, but is full of verve and youthful power in the juice.

Color

The wine is dark ruby red with a violet rim and a deep black core, clear and shiny in the glass.

Nose

As dark as its face is also the densely interwoven aroma of the cuvée of Blaufränkisch and Merlot from exactly equal proportions. Dark, like the night and yet crystalline, like a starry full moon night.

Strong aromas of plum jam, sloe and black cherry wallow in a fondant of dark chocolate with nougat and roasted spiced almonds. This is joined by the spice of dark miso and black Assam tea.

Palate

On the palate, the 2012 Salzberg from Heike and Gernot Heinrich is just about ready to drink, but is full of verve and youthful power in the juice. Rich, broad-shouldered tannins make room for its full-bodied fruit opulence, which is stimulated by this subtle bitterness and is free of melancholy. The Salzberg treads unexplored paths on a sure footing, but always remains true to itself and its origins, filled with pride.

Undoubtedly great Austrian red wine.
