Nose
The 2016 Riesling Schlossberg Grand Cru, presents itself extremely animating and powerful in the nose, especially after it was in contact with the necessary oxygen, so either open 2 days before or decant with momentum. It opens the round with citrus, orange, tangerine and small candied kumquats. Clearly embedded in subtle honey notes, cardamom and anise. Sweet pastry and sweet blossoms complete its charming and animating olfactory picture.
Palate
On the tongue, the 2016 Riesling Schlossberg Grand Cru confirms the charming and at the same time finesse-rich impression of the nose. Its juicy citrus fruit is paired with fine fruit sweetness and stimulating acidity. The reverberation is characterized by clear minerality and salty notes. Even if it presents itself after sufficient oxygen contact already pleasantly accessible, one should grant him the necessary time to unfold. This substance becomes even more magnificent with the necessary maturity!
Recommendation
Be sure to decant and serve not too cold.
