Information about wine
The farm is located in the Reiterpfad opposite Ruppertsberg and next to Deidesheim. The historic site is characterized by a soil of red sandstone rubble in an east-southeast sloping terrace. The Hofstück is the winery's warmest vineyard. The Riesling was harvested in October and November, free of botrytis. It was then left on the skins for up to six hours, fermented spontaneously, fermented down to two grams of residual sugar, and aged in large double barrels as well as in stainless steel.
Color
Golden yellow
Nose
The Reiterpfad courtyard property is a sun-drenched location. And yet the 2018 Riesling from it almost cool and tart. This is quite impressive. A little yeast is present, a little yellow, ripe fruit. Otherwise the Great Growth rather spicy, medicinal herbal, but above all chalky and chalky with clear minerality.
Palate
On the palate the Riesling Equestrian Trail Courtyard Piece Taut and clear with tart and juicy fruit, in which a little yeast sweetness mixes. Some pepper, still unripe almonds and tobacco marry with white-fleshed stone fruit. The acidity seems grippy, taut and at the same time ripe, the texture is marked by a light tannin. In the finish, the wine becomes creamy, slightly salty and stony, but retains this impressive precision all the time.
