Color:
Intense golden yellow with delicate copper reflections.
Nose:
The 2018 Pinot Gris from Zind-Humbrecht exudes an intense aroma of dried apricots, caramelized pineapple, ripe mango and orange jam. Distinct spicy notes reminiscent of cardamom, cinnamon, star anise and saffron accompany the opulent fruit and give it an additional exotic touch.
Palate:
On the palate it presents itself with a fine fruit sweetness, which is accompanied by a pleasant tart and salty note. Due to the finely chiselled acidity, it has a very stimulating and at no time saturating effect. The delicately spicy aftertaste makes it the perfect food companion to fruity and spicy dishes.
Food recommendations by Christina Hilker:

(Vegetable & Vegetarian)
- Sliced veal with roasted pineapple and saffron sauce
