Tasting note
Color:
Bright lemon yellow with clear green reflections.
Nose:
The 2023 Pietranera from the Zibibbo grape variety - also known as Muscat d'Alexandrie - literally sweeps you away on the nose. Mango, passion fruit, watermelon and floral notes of roses explode, underpinned by fine, tart citrus peel and grapefruit. An incredibly inviting wine full of expression.
Palate:
In beautiful contrast to all the exoticism, it presents itself on the palate with invigorating acidity, a salty trace, cool, stony notes and a fine tannin, which gives the overall impression a wonderful and at the same time invigorating fine structure. Creative chefs can let off steam here, a real discovery with top value for money.
Food pairing suggestions
- Papaya salad with carrot, basil and roasted peanuts (Vegetable & Vegetarian)
- Yellowtail mackerel with shiso, mango and pistachio (fish)
- Grated liver with watermelon, rose oil and wasabi foam (meat)
