The winegrowing couple Alain and Agnès Carrere from the small village of Caudiès Fenouillèdes cultivate the vineyards that belonged to their grandfathers. The valley at the foot of the Pyrenees lies at an altitude of 350 to 400 metres. The prevailing Tramuntana, a north-easterly wind, ensures that the vineyards are well ventilated even in summer. The South African cult winemaker Tom Lubbe was engaged as a consultant. The wines are mineral and have a pleasant freshness that is rarely found in the region.
