Color
The bright black colour of the 2010 Les Tosses barely loses its shine until it reaches the rim of the glass, punctuated by violet-bluish glints.

Fragrance profile
At first sniff, Les Tosses unfolds its remarkable and enchanting complexity. A fresh breeze of black slate blends harmoniously with dark tobacco, hints of liquorice, tar, fine dark chocolate and coffee. Slight overlays of cool and warm earthy aromas come to the fore, accompanied by an impressive fruitiness that evokes memories of blackberries, blackcurrants, blackcurrant jam, blueberry compote, candied black cherries and dried plums. Mediterranean notes such as rosemary, thyme, laurel and sage bring an additional freshness and round off the complex fragrance.

Taste
In the mouth, the 2010 Les Tosses is equally impressive. The dark fruit seems somewhat more austere than on the nose due to the youthful freshness, together with a tingling minerality, structured tannin and acidity. You can immediately feel the power and rigour of this exceptional wine and sense its huge potential for development. It should be given the necessary time to develop its full potential.

Alternative food suggestions
Try braised lamb kidneys with Serrano ham, olives and sage. For game lovers, a wild boar stew with juniper berries and parsley potatoes would be a good choice. A pigeon breast with a star anise crust, served with blackberry sauce and vanilla couscous, highlights the wine's versatile flavour profile.
