Vintage 1983

The 1983 vintage varies considerably depending on the region. In Champagne, it is regarded as outstanding and was long underestimated, as our overview of Champagne vintages shows. A sunny, warm summer produced an enormous harvest of 15,012 kilograms per hectare, and the wines display a classically slender structure and lovely freshness. We have very little left in stock from 1983. Our range includes the Porto Garrafeira decanted 1993 bottled 2018 from Niepoort, a Vinho do Porto that was decanted in 1993 and bottled in 2018.
