Color
Strong golden yellow, bright and clear.
Nose
In the nose distinctive but unobtrusive Gewürztraminer Ripe yellow fruits paired with slightly tropical aromas along with citrus fruits. Fully ripe peach meets mango and orange zest. Over this lies a floral veil with clear rose tones and light spicy notes of mace. Wonderfully clear with a lot of understatement.
Mouth
Creamy-viscous on the nose, with lots of substance and a velvety mouthfeel. The 2012 Gewurztraminer Mambourg keeps everything in the mouth what the nose promises. Dense, complex and with charming residual sweetness that provides the necessary love handles. Never fat, but cozy. Add to that the floral, fruity aromatics that are distinctive but never seem cheesy or even perfumed. This wine has great ageing potential, but tastes good now - best after three days of decanting on the windowsill.
