Wine information
The Pinot Noir comes from 26-year-old vines in Oberstockstall, Kirchberg am Wagram. The Exlberg site lies at 220 metres above sea level and is characterised by loess. After manual harvesting, the wine underwent spontaneous fermentation and matured for 12 months in used 500-litre tonneaux.
Color
transparent, bright cherry red
Nose
The colour is as fresh, bright and clear as the Pinot Noir Also on the nose. It is reminiscent of sour cherries and redcurrants, a few wild strawberries and barberries in combination with fine herbal nuances and a little rock.
Palate
On the palate, this is a silky and juicy wine with a round mouthfeel and a slightly electrifying minerality. The tannin remains discreet but structured in the background. The fruit brings a little charming sweetness. Overall, this is a Pinot Noir that is pleasantly easy to drink, uncomplicated and fresh.
