Color
slightly transparent ruby red
Nose
The Faustine Vieilles Vignes Rouge is a young and, in a positive sense, impetuous wine that does not focus on fruit but rather on spice and stoniness. One has the feeling of walking through the maquis; for here there are many herbal notes, firm dark berries, a hint of pepper and tar.
Palate
On the palate, the Faustine Vieilles Vignes Rouge offers freshness and juiciness. The wine appears bright and transparent with lots of red and dark berry fruit that seems as crisp and fresh as if it had just been picked. There is also a hint of yeast here. The yeast and the fresh acidity provide the youthful character, the grippy tannin and the herbal notes for the wild and unbound in this red southern summer wine.
