Nose
In the 2020 Espenyalluchs, one encounters vineyard peach, passion fruit, ripe mango and creamy white chocolate. At the same time, it radiates coolness and complexity - a wine of incredible facet and radiance. What a beautiful monument Enric Soler has created here, already very open at this point and one wonders whether it will close itself off again or remain so open and hedonistic. Patience is called for and the tension mounts.
Palate
Tension and elegant freshness is also the theme on the palate, you get the feeling of flashes of flavour with which this wine attacks the palate. It captivates you and immediately takes you over. Saline, punchy and crystalline, and yet marked by a timeless elegance and modesty, for all its greatness. The long finish asks for the accompaniment of shellfish and seafood, then you are literally floating in seventh heaven.
Be sure to decant and enjoy not too cold from a large glass.
