Éclats Edition Speciale, Champagne Jeaunaux-Robin, Champagne/France
Color
Bright straw yellow, radiant and clear with fine bubbly perlage.
Nose
The Éclats de Meulière from Jeaunaux-Robin shows its hedonistic side on the nose. With full fruit ahead, cut red apples and ripe pears fill its fruit basket, light stone fruit and a handful of dried fruit complete the arrangement. In the top notes, citrus notes such as grapefruit or kumquat and a thick piece of biscuit roll underline the overall fruity character of the wine.
Mouth
With a fine mousseux on the nose, it is super juicy on the palate. The cuvée of 60% Pinot Meunier, 30% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay is from 2016 and 2017 and was disgorged in July 2019. Grown on the namesake millstone limestone, flint and white marl, it has a fine-grained, chalky minerality that is elegantly grounded by ripe acidity and a delicate corset of tannins. With juicy fruit and creamy melt, it's on the sunny side of Champagne, combining craft with an immensely gastronomic style. The sip for the Daseinserfüllten moments of the day.
