The house of Matthieu Barret SARL offers a range of different wines from organic and biodynamic cultivation, which are produced in long-standing partnership with friendly winemakers. These wines reflect Barret's knowledge as well as the wines of the Domaine du Coulet. New in the programme is the N.V. Petit Ours Rosé, which now adds a pink edition to the round of Barret wines. The Petit Ours Rosé consists of 100% Grenache and is fermented spontaneously with its own yeasts. It sat on its lees in concrete, unsulphured, for nine months until it was lightly filtered and given 1mg of sulphur per litre before bottling. The Petit Ours is sold without a vintage as Vin de France.
Color
Delicate apricot with a light purple edge.
Nose
Apricots, raspberries and small wild strawberries mingle with tart notes of cranberries and characterise the pink bear as a joyfully fruity companion that you would like to take in your arms, or rather in your cup. Floral top notes of orange blossom water and lemon meslisse encourage unbridled topping up.
Mouth
Fruity, juicy with some melting and delicate mineral notes, this lucky bear presents itself on the palate. No more, but also no less, it is what is unusually absent in the Northern Rhône Pink fun in the glass without drifting into banality. Firm to the bite, with a firm pressure and juicy core, it is an uncomplicated refresher for carefree moments away from the table.
